What Is The Meaning Of Life - Why Are We Here?

Many people have pondered the question: What is the meaning of life-why are we here? After much reflection, most conclude that this question is unanswerable. Tragically, some decide that life has little or no meaning. A fortunate few arrive at a place where they say “Yes! I understand. My life does have meaning.” They realize that the answer isn’t something outside of who they are. The answer is in the nature of their existence.

To Dance Or Not To Dance - In Ballet Or Pointe Shoes

Students often used to ask me “should I pursue dance as a career?” My first thought was always - “if you can live without dance, do something else. If you can’t, then pursue it”.

Sometimes Dance just doesn’t let go! It may not be the practical choice for you. Yet it just doesn’t go away.

If you’re young, I would say dance now, because it is a physical training that needs to be done while you’re young. Especially ballet. That doesn’t mean flunk high school or anything, but I know that grades can be re-created at a community college, and an academic career can ensue from there. However, the physical ability that a younger person has is not there later.

The Day I Broke Up With Rachel Ray

I’m not speaking to Rachel Ray anymore. As far as I’m concerned, she’s dead to me. Dead. Do you hear me? Here’s why:

While recovering from triple bypass, open heart surgery a few years ago, I found out that Rachel Ray was going to be making an appearance at a local book store for a book signing. This was good news, because I was a big fan.

Yeah, I’m a guy and I like to cook. I’m also a single guy who needs to know how to cook, because I don’t want family members coming to my apartment and finding me huddled over a plate of gray linguine. It was necessary for me to learn how to cook and Rachel’s recipes are easy to make and not very time consuming.

The Fairest Of All Casino Games

Many people have asked me over the years what the most fair casino game is, and while all of them do usually give the advantage to the house or the casino, the odds of winning that the player enjoys can actually vary quite a lot between games, and even between casinos themselves as some even field different rules of the same game from casino-to-casino, or country-to-country.

A Short History Of Roulette

Roulette was first played in 18th century France, with the name literally meaning “little wheel.” It is believed to have sprung from a unique fusion in the English games of Roly-Poly, E.O., Ace of Hearts, as well as the games of Biribi and Hoca from Italy.

Historical records show that the game may have been played as early as 1796 in Paris, being described in a book written by Jaques Lablee called “La Roulette, ou le Jour.” There is an even earlier reference to the game as well in New France - Canada - where the betting games of Roulette, Dice, Hoca and Faro were banned; this was referred to in a legal regulation of 1756.
