Detroit Schools - Is The Motor City Heading For Disaster?

Ah, Detroit. While the smell of rubber and welding may no longer emanate through the air in this city of automotive manufacturing, the schools are still working to keep production up; the production of well-educated, successful members of society. In the last decade, Detroit Public Schools have lost more than 60,000 students. While much of this loss has been due to the city’s steadily declining population and shrinking birthrates, leaders of Detroit Schools also say that this is attributable to poaching from charter schools and neighboring public school systems.

Teach students about animals, flowers, birds, fruits, vehicles, inventions and almost anything with a ‘Do You Know’ bulletin board. Use a large cutout of the object and list several interesting and useful facts about it. Change the content to feature the topic being taught in class.

The Philosophy Behind Home Schooling

Parents who choose to home school their children do so for a variety of different reasons. In some cases parents have specific religious goals which they wish to achieve. Others are unhappy with teaching methods in the public school system, or object to the teaching of specific subjects. Online Degrees - Get Informed Fast

Today the Department of Education and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation recognize the Distance Education and Training Council as the only accrediting organization for distance learning institutions and all of the education programs that offer online degrees. Now there are even consortiums formed of universities, such as the Canadian Virtual University, which offers no courses or degrees, but simply acts as a portal for courses from 14 universities all across Canada. Online colleges, that are fully accredited, have earned a widely recognized form of university accreditation from one of six regional accreditation boards.

Belly Dancing, Neurons In The Stomach And An Advantage Not Yet Explained

Many biology students are aware that the human stomach has neurons in it. Neurons are found in various parts of the human body. Some attribute the gut instinct felling that many of us get to this fact. Recently, our Online Think Tank corresponded with a Canadian Belly Dancer and asked:

“Do you believe that Belly Dancers in developing all the abdomen muscles and bouncing all the cells in that region of the body would spur on what many call “Their Gut Instinct” that is to say would belly dancing increase “intuition” abilities in dancers?” We also asked; “If so why?
