Review Of The Cold Steel Pendleton Hunter Knife
Do you have a favorite hunting knife? What is the best part about it?
Hunters all over the world are falling in love with the cutting ability and edge retention of Cold Steel’s Pendleton Hunter. After hearing positive reviews from a wide range of people, I decided to get a Pendleton Hunter of my own and see what the hype is all about.
What I like about the Pendleton Hunter:
1. The blade is 3.5 inches long. This size blade allows you to make a variety of cuts, while being small enough to not get in your way.
2. The Pendleton Hunter’s blade is hollow ground with VG-1 steel. Cold Steel also uses a proven drop-point design, which gives you a RAZOR sharp edge.
VG-1 is known for its edge holding ability and sharpness.
The hollow ground blade style gives The Pendleton Hunter a thin enough edge to make the most precise cuts imagineable. At 3/16″ thick, the blade is thick enough to put up with a whole lot of punishment.
3. Cold Steel’s Pendleton Hunter comes with a rugged “secure-ex” sheath. Secure-Ex is basically hard plastic material with a belt loop on the top. This sheath should be up to almost any task that you put in front of it.
4. With a suggested retail value of $79.99, a top of the line-hunting knife has never been more affordable.
What I didn’t like about it:
1. The blade could be a little bit longer. I think even a half-inch more would make the Pendleton Hunter perform a little bit better.
2. It would be helpful if the knife came with at least partial serrations.
Overall:
The Pendleton Hunter by Cold Steel is worth the money. If you want a small, but razor sharp knife that you can count on in the field then check out this knife.
